DO YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR RECORDS? IT'S THAT EASY ...
Galileo Records is always on the lookout for interesting collections.
We buy complete record collections but also fine private collections.
So if you want to part with your old records, please contact us by email. Depending on the size and location of the collection, there are various options for buying vinyl records.
We stand for uncomplicated processing and fair payment.
1. WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE COLLECTION?
Please get an overview of the condition of your records in advance. Because if the collection is fundamentally interesting (sought-after styles or artists), the condition is particularly important for determining the value of the records.
This applies to the cover, which should show as few signs of wear as possible or no significant damage, as well as to the vinyl itself, which should have as few scratches as possible or no deep scratches.
It may make sense to create such a list just for the sale. In this case, however, we strongly recommend that you contact us beforehand to find out whether the collection is of interest and whether it is really worth the effort. Photos of the backs of the records are often just as helpful.
2. WHAT ARE YOUR RECORDS WORTH?
We pay at least one franc/euro per LP if it is of interest to us (see below). Depending on the pressing and condition (see above), the purchase price can of course be higher.
There is almost no upper limit for rarities: the highest price for a record sold to date was USD 790,000.
You can get an initial overview of which records we buy and which we don't buy here:
We are happy to buy these records:
- Metal, Rock, Folk, Progressive...
- Beat, rock'n'roll, rock etc. from the 50s and 60s
- actually all LPs from the 90s and after
Which records we do not buy:
- Hit records of the 70s until now
- Classical music
- Scratched, incomplete or otherwise damaged records
3. THIS IS HOW THE RECORD PURCHASE WORKS
For smaller collections or individual records, we ask you to either photograph the spines of the records so that the titles can be read and send them to us or send us a list of your albums.
We can then get a more precise overview of your record collection and will be happy to make you a fair offer.
