After two years in conceiveing, composing and experimenting, "Shattered Lines" is the brand new album of ATTO IV; a work that presents a band not only renewed in line up, but also in the way to intend the sound and the concept itself of "progressive". Many influences converge in the nine tracks of the disc: fusion, heavy, alternative rock, electronic and noise are only some of the scrupolously proportioned and combined ingredients, to create a sonic building through whom essential lyrics about the Man, his contraddictions and alienating idiosyncrasies, continuosly wind; both during his individual life and in relationship with others. Every song is a trip through contrasting atmospheres, free associations of ideas, recurrences, sonic and compositives structures consciously plotted, but also sudden digressions and improvisations. Shattered lines is to breaking the continuity, to interrupt a course; in good and bad. The polyedric and uncontrollable fragmenting of things and existence toward unknown directions.
